1. Who We Are

SuitWin Recovery (“SuitWin”, “we”, “us”) is a claim recovery company headquartered at 7th Floor, Block 3, Compound 18, Jinghai Road, Yizhuang, Beijing, China.

We fund cross-border claims brought by foreign businesses against Chinese counterparties. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information through suitwin.net (the “Site”).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you submit our case evaluation form, contact us by email, or communicate with us via WhatsApp or WeChat, we may collect the following information:

• Your name, email address, WhatsApp number (if provided), and country;
• The amount owed and a description of your dispute;
• Any documents or supporting evidence you choose to share with us.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting provider records technical data in server logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type). We use these logs only to keep the Site secure and working, and they are deleted after a short period. When you send the case evaluation form, we store your IP address with your inquiry to prevent abuse.

The Site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are served from our own server, so no data is sent to font providers. Analytics is only used if you accept it (see section 8).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Evaluate your case and respond to your inquiry;
• Prepare your written Case Evaluation Report and fee quotation;
• Provide funded claim recovery services if you engage us;
• Improve the Site’s content, functionality, and performance.

We do not sell case information or use it for marketing. We do not disclose case information to opposing parties or unrelated third parties. Information submitted through our case evaluation form is used to evaluate and respond to your inquiry and is handled subject to applicable confidentiality obligations.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA and UK Visitors)

Where applicable under data protection laws, we process personal data on the following legal bases:

• Consent: where you have given consent for a specific processing activity;
• Pre-contractual steps: where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract;
• Legitimate interests: where necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site, provided those interests do not override your rights.

5. Data Retention

Case inquiries that do not proceed to an engagement, including any files attached to them, are deleted automatically 12 months after receipt, unless a longer retention period is required by law or is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Information relating to funded claims is retained for the duration of the engagement and for up to five years thereafter, where necessary for legal, regulatory, recordkeeping, or compliance purposes.

6. Your Privacy Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at info@suitwin.net.

Depending on applicable law, you may also have the right to request data portability, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority.

We will review and respond to privacy requests in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission and access controls.

Where necessary to handle a case, information may be shared with the licensed attorneys handling the matter, subject to applicable confidentiality and professional obligations.

8. Cookies, Third-Party Services and International Transfers

Cookies. Without your consent, the Site sets no cookies for visitors. The admin area uses a strictly necessary session cookie for signed-in staff only.

Google Analytics. If we enable Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), it loads only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; the analytics cookies are then deleted. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Google Translate. Blog articles that our team has not yet translated offer an automatic translation. Only when you click “Show automatic translation” is the article text, together with your IP address, sent to Google, and a functional cookie (“googtrans”) may be set. Your choice is remembered in your browser. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

WhatsApp and WeChat. If you contact us through WhatsApp (Meta) or WeChat (Tencent), the provider’s own privacy terms apply to those messages.

Hosting. The Site is hosted by Hostinger, which processes server logs on our behalf.

Transfer to China. SuitWin is based in China, and cases are handled by licensed attorneys in China. Information you send us is therefore transferred to and processed in the People’s Republic of China, for which there is no EU adequacy decision. This transfer is necessary to evaluate your inquiry and to provide the services you request (Art. 49(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). We protect the data as described in section 7. Please do not send information you do not want transferred to China.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was most recently revised.
