When you plan to conduct business with Chinese companies, you may have the following demands:

  • You hope to verify whether your Chinese counterparty is a legitimate company with sound credibility to avoid falling victim to fraud.
  • You expect Chinese exporting companies to refrain from contractual breaches such as product quality issues and delayed delivery.
  • You expect Chinese importing companies to make timely payment for goods.
  • You hope that your trademarks, patents and copyrights can receive full protection.
  • You hope that disputes arising with Chinese companies can be resolved in a timely manner.

I’ve always heard that Chinese courts rely on connections, but that Chinese state-owned enterprise has a lot of influence in the local area. I consulted with many Chinese lawyers, but faced with exorbitant legal fees and uncertain outcomes, I was really on the verge of giving up!

Later, Attorney Yun offered us a ‘No Win, No Fee’ arrangement, which finally put my mind at ease. Faced with a complex case, he was always able to quickly identify the key issues and formulate a clear and effective litigation strategy. Ultimately, the case achieved a successful outcome, helping us successfully recover $1.5 million in damages from the Chinese state-owned enterprise. I am deeply grateful for Attorney Yun’s assistance and highly recommend him!

If you encounter issues such as unpaid invoices, delayed shipments, substandard products, or fraud in China:

  • Due to language and legal barriers, you may not know what legal avenues to pursue in China to resolve the issue.
  • You may be unsure whether China’s laws and judicial system can provide you with fair and impartial protection.
  • You may not know how long the entire legal process will take or how much it will cost.
  • You may be unsure whether you can obtain compensation through legal channels.

To be honest, when the Chinese importer refused to pay the final installment, I was completely panicked. I couldn’t sleep for days. If we couldn’t collect that payment, our company would be sued by our downstream suppliers, and we would likely go bankrupt. I consulted many Chinese lawyers, but our company couldn’t afford the exorbitant legal fees, and at the time, I had very little trust in Chinese partners.

It was Attorney An who gradually helped me untangle the mess and offered us a “No Win, No Fee” arrangement—that’s what finally put my mind at ease. I remember there were several times when I felt all hope was lost, but Attorney An was even more determined than I was, always saying, ‘Let’s think of another way.’ The moment we finally received the judgment and the payment, my family and I all cried. During those hardest days, you were our rock. Thank you so much!
