Remote signing, no payment to us. We pay the attorney's fees and guide your power of attorney through notarization.

Step3. Freeze & Proceed — Days 20 onwards
We freeze the debtor's assets first — no warning letters — then pursue settlement or judgment. Most cases settle before trial.

Step4. Recovery & Payment
Your share arrives with a written statement of every figure. If we recover nothing, you owe nothing.

Frequently Asked Questions
The questions every creditor asks us before signing — answered straight, including the ones other firms avoid.
1. How much do I pay?
No attorney’s fees — SuitWin pays the lawyers. For third-party costs and our share, see “What We Charge” above: every case is quoted individually in writing, and your free Case Evaluation Report includes a full cost estimate before you commit. The earlier your case settles, the lower our rate.
2. How long does it take?
Property preservation is typically finalized within 15 days of filing the application and providing the guarantee. For the full case: cases requiring litigation usually conclude within 6–12 months. Chinese courts usually issue a first-instance judgment within 6 months (add about 3 months if appealed); arbitration awards typically take around 6 months. In many cases, debtors voluntarily settle once we’ve frozen their bank accounts, property, and vehicles.
3. Is there any scenario where I pay and get nothing?
Attorney’s fees: never — if we recover nothing, our share is zero. Your only exposure is third-party costs at cost against receipts. And even in unsuccessful cases, note that under Chinese law court fees are borne by the losing party — in a partial win, they are split proportionally.
4. How does the money actually reach me?
It depends on how the case concludes. In settlements, payment is made as written into the settlement agreement. In litigated cases, Chinese courts disburse awarded funds to a domestic account — courts do not make cross-border payments directly — so the funds are paid to our partner counsel’s account in China. We then forward your share to your bank account overseas immediately upon receipt, with a written statement of every figure. Either way, distribution follows your written agreement — and if we recover nothing, you owe nothing.
5.What if the Chinese company has no assets left?
Then litigation may be pointless — and we’ll tell you honestly before you sign anything. Every engagement starts with an asset investigation: registered capital, real estate, equity holdings, litigation and enforcement history. If there’s nothing to recover, we decline the case.
6. Do I need to travel to China or attend court in person?
No. Everything is handled remotely — signing, evidence submission, hearings, and receiving your recovery. The only document requiring local processing is the power of attorney (notarization and apostille), which we guide you through step by step.
7. What documents do I need?
The essentials: the contract or Proforma Invoice, bill of lading or delivery records, payment records, and your communication history with the Chinese party. Translation is our job. Your company’s incorporation documents will need notarization and apostille — we handle the Chinese-side requirements and guide you through yours.
8. What does the free consultation include?
A video call with an experienced lawyer — with no fixed time limit and no obligation. You tell us what happened: contract terms, amount owed, evidence available. We give you an honest first assessment of whether your case is worth pursuing in China. If it isn’t, we’ll tell you directly.
9. Are you a law firm?
No — SuitWin Recovery is a claim recovery company. We fund your claim against the Chinese counterparty: the attorney’s fees are paid by us, and your case is handled end-to-end by licensed Chinese attorneys from our partner law firms. You can verify their license numbers on China’s Ministry of Justice registry, and full license documents are provided with your free Case Evaluation Report. We only earn a share when your money is recovered.
